Persistent Efficiency was a burgeoning tech startup build in Berkeley, California. They specialized in creating IoT devices that tracked energy use in a variety of locations. Wakegraphic helped create the packaging for their most recent product launch.

The “KIT” was a self contained set of their energy tracking product that would their customers install themselves. The project required a in-depth understanding of how the product was installed, what it did, and how it reported it’s data.

The design needed to be attractive, modern, and be ready to compete with other energy monitoring and home automation products. The KIT package came with a fold out installation guide. This eleven step guide was designed by Wakegraphic to be intuitive, not overly technical, and to slowly introduce customers to a product that had almost no established visual language.
